Ill Fares The Land tells the story of a boy who discovers a stranded mermaid, set against the backdrop of anti-migrant and far-right nationalism. Shooting later this year in London and Dungeness, the team are casting three male roles.

George Baker is male, aged 18+ but with a playing age of 14–15, and any ethnicity. A shy schoolboy who suffers from selective mutism and lives with his drunk father and older brother in a rundown seaside community. Trey Baker is male, playing age 18–20, and any ethnicity. Forced to grow up quickly, Trey is the family breadwinner and takes on caring responsibilities. Despite his good heart, he’s corrupted by far-right nationalism and is part of an anti-migrant, neo-fascist militia. Stewy is male, playing age 18–25, and any ethnicity. The thuggish but charismatic neo-fascist leader. Roles are paid.

Educational videos casting American in London 

A series of educational videos for students aged 11–14 is casting for an enthusiastic actor with comedy experience, playing age 18–25, and any ethnicity, with a native North American accent. You’ll be presenting scripts to camera using autocue. The role is paid £300 for one day of shooting in Milton Keynes.
