“Las Reinas”
Just say no to crime—even if it’s in your blood. ABC is taking on “Las Reinas,” a pilot about a woman who was born into a family at the center of a crime syndicate. But before she can take on the family business, the woman shifts gears and disowns them, becoming a member of the organization actively trying to halt their operations: Miami’s Criminal Investigation Division. Talk about a tense Thanksgiving. The drama that will actually shoot in Miami currently has Daniella Alonso on as its lead, John Corbett, and Sonia Braga as the crime boss, attached to star. The women over at Creative Casting, however, are bulking up the cast list just in time for the mid-March shoot.

“Godzilla 2/Godzilla: King of the Monsters”
While Millie Bobby Brown’s Eleven recently wrapped Season 2 of the Netflix hit, “Stranger Things,” the young actor is already moving on to new cinematic monsters with “Godzilla: King of the Monsters.” While plot specifics are being kept on the down-low, the oversized green dinosaur is definitely out for mischief again, and this time it involves a scientist and his family. Brown isn’t going it alone, however, as Vera Farmiga has signed on to play her mother and Kyle Chandler, a veteran of the CGI monster flick, is on board as her scientist father. While all three names could topline, the rumors are pointing the primary spotlight on Chandler. The film, which had been originally slated to release this summer, is pushing for a summer shoot in both Atlanta and various places in China. Michael Dougherty will direct the film while Sarah Finn will provide the talent.

“LA –> Vegas”
Dylan McDermott is about to take the dusty desert jaunt from Los Angeles to the Las Vegas strip for some quick cash in his new Fox pilot. The project will follow a group of underdog co-workers as they hatch a plan to rule the casinos of Vegas. Taking a weekend “get rich” pilgrimage to Sin City, the group looks to make a name and a ton of cash for themselves before returning to L.A. While McDermott, in his first comedy series role, is the only name currently attached to the pilot, Blyth Nailling is currently stocking up the actors for the desert trek. While Vegas may be a highlight of the pilot, production on the single-camera comedy will start in late March with filming currently only taking place in Los Angeles.
