Back Stage is writing an article about actors and acting coaches posting video of auditions and scenes on YouTube. Many actors post videos of their monologues and scenes in order to get feedback from others. Some coaches also post acting tutorials and offer to critique actors' work. It's a kind of online acting class for free.
Is this helpful for actors? Is this a good, inexpensive way to study the craft, or will nothing ever replace in-person classes?
