Cover letters/notes to the casting team: Are they helpful?
I’ve noticed on more than a few casting calls an optional ‘cover letter’ or ‘note to the casting team’ section. Has anyone noticed whether this is helpful to actually landing an appointment/callback/job?” —LainieSingsThings

Résumé question:
“I am working on my résumé and wanted to see how the community lists certain credits. I am aware the extra and featured extra roles are not included on an actor’s résumé, and I feel confident listing TV and film roles as:

  • TV/streaming series roles are either: series regular, recurring guest star, guest star, recurring co-star, or co-star
  • Film roles are either: lead or supporting

“What about lead roles in TV movies or even anthology episodes? Do you list TV movies under TV or film? Thank you.” —LaLaMaMa

Audition schedules?
“I have an opportunity for a job that is letting me create my own schedule to an extent. They require a full weekend day and two evenings. I am hoping to design my schedule around when auditions are also most likely to be held when things start opening up again. Are there certain days of the week and times when auditions are usually held? On the weekend, is Saturday or Sunday more likely? And during the week, what days are more likely? Thanks in advance!” —DalitaG
