Actor-model April Scott is suing the owners of a strip club for unlawfully using her image in an advertisement.
Scott, whose credits include Deal or No Deal and Entourage, filed a complaint against Déjà Vu Inc. in Los Angeles Superior Court May 9 claiming the company used a photo of her in a promotion for its Little Darlings Totally Nude club in Las Vegas. Scott is seeking $750 for each unauthorized use plus unspecified damages.
Scott's complaint echoes a libel suit recently filed in the same court by actor Brenda Song against Vibe Media, alleging the company illegally used her photo to promote its escort service. Song, a star of the Disney Channel's The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, said in an April 25 statement, "As a role model to millions of young people, I feel I have to take a stand against this company in regards to its exploitation of my image.... In filing this lawsuit, I hope to prevent this company from doing this again to anyone else."
