AFTRA Honors John Walsh, David Crosby

The AFTRA Foundation honored three members of the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists on Monday night at the 2011 AFTRA Media and Entertainment Excellence Awards in Los Angeles.

An AFTRA member since 1958, Spanish-language Los Angeles Dodgers announcer Jaime Jarrín received the AMEE Award in broadcasting; John Walsh, the host of "America's Most Wanted," was presented the AMEE Award in entertainment; and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee David Crosby was given the AMEE Award in sound recordings.

Created in 2003, the AMEE Awards honor AFTRA members for their contributions to media and entertainment as well as for excellence in their craft. The proceeds from the ceremony fund the AFTRA Foundation, a charitable organization that supports endeavors, conferences, and other projects outside the scope of normal AFTRA activities.
