AFTRA Names New National Agency Head

The appointment of Ms. Capuano, who is based at the union's national office in New York, is effective immediately, said Greg Hessinger, AFTRA's national executive director. Ms. Capuano joined AFTRA in 1993 as an assistant in the agency department. In 1997, she was named supervisor. In her new position, she is responsible for the overall operation of the national agency department, will oversee the issuance of agency franchises, enforce agency regulations and guide AFTRA locals throughout the country in agency matters. A graduate of St. John's University, Staten Island, Ms. Capuano received her bachelor's degree in communications. "We are delighted that Megan has agreed to fill this important national post, and are confident that the transition will be a smooth one," said Mr. Hessinger.
