“Heart of Life”
The ABC pilot based on one of John Mayer’s songs has been casting and filming in the city recently and has even been scouting young talent. The series, which just cast comedian-actor Nick Thune and will be executive produced by Mayer and writer Ben Queen, will follow “two sets of adult siblings from different worlds who discover they’re related and must reassess everything they thought they knew about their shared father.” Recently, the production’s casting directors at Central Casting put out a call for background actors, as well as for a young girl with dark hair and eyes. Filming for that role will take place over the weekend, but expect to see plenty more opportunities in the coming weeks—keep an eye on Backstage’s Atlanta TV casting calls for more!
