“American Soul”
Jump on board the Soul Train in Atlanta! The upcoming BET series “American Soul,” inspired by “the personal trials and professional successes” of “Soul Train” impresario Don Cornelius, recently started up production in the city. The ’70s musical drama will star Sinqua Walls (“Power”), Kelly Price, Kelly Rowland, and more, and will continue filming in Atlanta before likely making a stop in Chicago, where “Soul Train” began. The production put out casting calls for background roles that filmed earlier this week, so expect to see more as filming continues. The casting director is Heather Bivens, so keep an eye on her door for more!
