“Moonshot”
Lana Condor and Cole Sprouse are shooting for the stars and beyond with their next project: New Line’s “Moonshot.” We’ve seen a few brief looks at the upcoming New Line Max Original film: the Atlanta Filming social media accounts recently shared a photo from set of the costumes, cinematographer Brendan Uegama shared a look at the visual wall on his Instagram story, and a Twitter fan shared a behind-the-scenes shot at the filming situation.
A romantic comedy with a sci-fi twist, “Moonshot” is set in a future where Mars is terraformed and colonized and where “two very different college students end up joining forces and sneak onboard a space shuttle to the red planet in order to be united with their significant others.” The most recent casting for the project came at the beginning of June when Mason Gooding, Emily Rudd, and Lukas Gage joined the cast. Chris Winterbauer is attached to direct from a screenplay by Max Taxe, and Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter will produce through Berlanti/Schechter Films along with Jill McElroy and Jenna Sarkin of Entertainment 360. Kristy Carlson of Warner Bros. Casting is the film’s CD.
