The New York Innovative Theatre Awards, dubbed the IT awards, announced this year's nominees for artistic excellence in Off-Off-Broadway theatre.
The awards are given annually to recognize the unique and essential role Off-Off-Broadway plays in contributing to American and global culture and to expand audience awareness and appreciation of the full New York theatre experience.
The IT Awards will be presented for the third year on Sept. 24.
