As Kenny on the hit ABC sitcom “The Real O’Neals” (just renewed for a second season!), Noah Galvin is hilarious playing the youngest son who inspires an avalanche of truths—including his parents’ potential divorce, his brother’s anorexia, and his sister’s doubt in God—when he comes out to his Irish Catholic family. The show also stars Martha Plimpton, Jay R. Ferguson, Matt Shively, and Bebe Wood. Galvin takes us behind the scenes of this network comedy.

Things change in TV daily. Because things can’t get cleared, or Ryan Gosling doesn’t wanna be the shirtless guy in the mirror, or Saran Wrap doesn’t wanna be painted in a negative light. But most of the time these changes are for the best. For instance: Jesus and Maleficent.

Sometimes companies like to send you stuff. Like e-cigs. Which are nasty. But they do serve an ulterior purpose; amazing props. But only if you’re doing an impression of Jay R. Ferguson. Otherwise, smoking kills.

These beautiful people are our stand-ins. The one in the middle is mine. His name is Dustin. He’s a musician and all-around wonderful human. People don’t understand why we need stand-ins. I can’t explain it to you in this short caption. But they are integral to the process. More so than you think. I promise. OK?

In TV, much like the tech process in a play or musical, there’s a lot of sitting around. Luckily, with today’s technology, you can utilize that downtime for photo shoots for your band’s debut album. Our band (Martha on keys and backup vocals, me on lead vocals and drum pad, and Matt as hype man and miscellaneous percussion) is called “PROM?” Look out for our album, “Death Punch,” dropping never.
