Showtime’s darkly funny new sitcom “Dice” stars Andrew Dice Clay as a down-and-out version of himself: a comic who used to fill arenas and now lives in Las Vegas, striving for a comeback. Co-stars Natasha Leggero and Kevin Corrigan lend their comedy chops as well. All six episodes are now available to stream from Hulu, Showtime, and Amazon Prime. Series creator Scot Armstrong (“Search Party,” “The Hangover Part II”) offers some exclusive behind-the-scenes glimpses below.

Over the years, Dice has made a lot of friends in the business, including Wayne Newton, who had no trouble playing Dice’s nemesis.

Our biggest celebrity cameo was Cynthia Plaster Caster, the artist known for making plaster casts of famous men’s erections. Thanks to Cynthia, we were able to shoot with a molding of the real Jimi Hendrix.

One night we stopped shooting to watch Ronda Rousey fight Holly Holm. Luckily, it only lasted two rounds, so we could get back to work.

It was an honor to work with the legend Lorraine Bracco (as the manager of Tangiers casino).

Dice and Natasha Leggero had incredible chemistry. No one puts Dice in his place like her character, Carmen.

And that’s a wrap! These guys (Kevin Corrigan, Jon Gries, and Pat Healy) play members of Dice’s old crew, who get back together in the season finale.
