Hey, Los Angeles actors! Stay in the loop and be sure to check back every week for projects currently in production in the place you call home. Here’s the 411 on what’s filming big and small in your city.
Have mercy: John Stamos is back on the small screen and has begun filming his new Disney+ project, “Big Shot!” Filming is underway this week at a private residence in Central L.A. near the Marlborough School District. As previously reported, Stamos leads the series, which follows a temperamental basketball coach who is fired from his current job and ends up in an elite girl’s private high school. Also leading the cast is Shiri Appleby, Jessalyn Gilsig, Yvette Nicole Brown, Richard Robichaux, Nell Verlaque, Tiana Le, Cricket Wampler, Tisha Custodio, and others. Principal photography reportedly began in November, though it looks to be ramping up now. Stamos shared a photo of him and “[his] starting 5” on Instagram on Wednesday, as well as a shot of him on set the day before. Developed by Dean Lorey and David E. Kelley and based on an original idea by Brad Garrett, “Big Shot” will likely be released on Disney+ by the end of 2020.
