CASTING ALERT: Earn $1,000 Per Week to Sing on Celebrity Cruises + More Southeast Auditions

Discover great opportunities for southern talent. The musical “Rock Odyssey” is casting Equity actors, a television series based on a Stephen King novel needs background talent, Celebrity Cruises is seeking dancers and singers for ongoing contracts, and more gigs.

CELEBRITY CRUISES
The award-winning productions performed aboard the ten ships of Celebrity Cruises need singing and dancing talent. The shows are casting male and female singers, aged 18–30, with strong bodies and great stamina who can move confidently, to sing contemporary pop-rock, R&B, and contemporary musical theater. Rap is a plus. The productions are also casting male and female dancers who can sing, aged 18–30, with a strong background in jazz, ballet, commercial, and partnering, with technical training in singing. Additional roles are available for male and female dancers with similar dance backgrounds to the above for performing in the ensemble. Those roles will not require singing. Women should be able to perform in 3” heels. An open casting call is scheduled for March 4 and 5. Contracts range from six to eight months and are based out of Orlando, Florida. Lead vocalists will be paid a minimum of $1,000 per week. Dancer-vocalists will be paid a minimum of $600–$800 per week. Ensemble dancers will be paid a minimum of $2,383 per month. Apply here!

“ROCK ODYSSEY”
A production of the musical “Rock Odyssey” is casting Equity talent. Available roles include Odysseus, for male talent, aged 30–39, and Telemachus, for talent, aged 18 and older. The two characters are father and son and both roles require stage combat. The roles of gods Zeus, Hermes, and Poseidon, are also available for male talent, aged 30–59, 20–39, and 20–49, respectively. Female roles include Penelope, for talent, aged 30–39, Odysseus’ wife and Telemachus’ mother and the goddess Athena, for talent, aged 20–29. Additionally, the production is also casting three male actors, aged 20–29, to play ensemble roles. An Equity Principal Audition is scheduled for March 4. Rehearsals begin April 29 and the show runs through May 22 in Miami, Florida. Talent will be paid $512.25 per week under an Equity TYA Agreement. Apply here!

“MR. MERCEDES”
The television series “Mr. Mercedes,” starring Brendan Gleeson and based on the novel by Stephen King, tells the story of a detective who pursues a psychopathic killer, the driver of a stolen Mercedes. The production is seeking male and female talent of any age (including toddlers), ethnicity, and type to play background roles. Shooting on Season 3 will begin in mid- to late-February in Charleston, South Carolina. Talent will be paid. Apply here!

“THE VIOLENT HEART”
The feature film “The Violent Heart,” starring Grace Van Patten and Jovan Adepo, is a coming-of-age romance that follows a young couple who must confront a violent and tragic past. The production is casting ethnically ambiguous infants, newborn to six months old, to play the newborns of the lead couple. Twins or “multiples” are preferred. Shooting is scheduled for Feb. 23 in Nashville, Tennessee. Talent will be paid $64 for eight hours. Apply here!

“CAMPING WITH AN RV”
A 30-second commercial for Camping World is casting a family of four who likes the outdoors. Talent can be Caucasian, Asian, African American, or Latinx/Hispanic, and should include a mom and dad, aged 25–45, and two kids, aged 3–15. Shooting will take one and a half days at the end of March in St. Augustine, Florida. Talent will be paid $500 per day, per person. Apply here!
