Ready for ‘The Bob’s Burgers Movie’? Apply to These Gigs

It’s been a long time coming, and at last, “The Bob’s Burgers Movie” is about to arrive on the big screen. On May 27, we’re finally going to see what happens when the Belcher family gets its own full-length feature film. To celebrate, we’ve put together a list of castings for avid fans of “Bob’s Burgers.” From similarly irreverent animation projects to live-action comedy, apply to one of these gigs before you head to the theater.

“The High Art of Upholstery”

This short film is a dark comedy that follows a day in the life of a taxidermist, and it isn’t long before things get weird. “The High Art of Upholstery” is looking for talent of all genders, aged 18 and up, for multiple voiceover roles. Recording will take place remotely for a flat rate of $75 and an additional $25 for any extra characters voiced.

“Pixel Perfect”

Lights Out Animation is casting the leading role in “Pixel Perfect,” a sci-fi short about a college freshman who becomes obsessed with beating her dad’s impossibly high score in a virtual reality game. Production is seeking female voiceover talent, aged 18–20. Recording will take place remotely over the summer for a flat rate between $500–$2,000.

Major Network Sitcom

The title and synopsis of this comedy series have yet to be revealed, but one thing we do know: It stars Emma Stone. Casting is looking for background actors, aged 18 and up, to play Santa Fe locals. Filming will take place in Santa Fe, New Mexico from June to October. Pay is a flat rate between $96–$105.

“Call Center”

The premise is simple: “Call Center” follows a group of customer service representatives who have to deal with some seriously weird questions and requests from callers. The series will air on the Game Arts Network, and casting is looking for talent of all genders, aged 18-45, to play customer service reps. Filming will take place in Raleigh, North Carolina. Dates and pay are TBA.

“Hope Deferred”

A brand new web series, this dramedy will follow a group of naive young adults who are faced with the reality of being young, broke, and at the bottom of their careers in New York City. Casting is looking for male talent, aged 18–50, for multiple roles; and female talent, aged 18–27, for a supporting role. Films in the fall in NYC, and pay is deferred.
