Grab a date, because the musical comedy “The Prom” is coming to Broadway. Before it does, though, it’ll hold a developmental lab production, which is casting right now.

Under the casting direction of Telsey + Co., the team will hold Equity Principal Auditions Nov. 7, 13, and 14 at Pearl Studios in New York City. Additionally, there will be Equity Chorus Calls Nov. 16 and 21, also at Pearl Studios.

The lab is slated for Jan. 15–Feb. 9, 2018, with an anticipated Broadway opening planned for November of that year.

Hired talent will be paid $1,000/week.

Under the direction of Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw (“The Book of Mormon” and the forthcoming “Mean Girls” musical), the tuner had its world premiere at the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta in 2016. It features music by Mary-Mitchell Campbell and a book and lyrics courtesy of Bob Martin and Chad Beguelin.
