BARBIE MATTEL YOUTUBE SERIES
The Barbie YouTube Channel is casting a 12-part series to promote Mattel toys. The episodes will be shot over two to three days. In each episode, two best friends open a chest of toys, ready to explore and play. Both roles are for young female talent, aged 8–12. Actors are encouraged to play younger and act big with an outgoing personality and lots of imagination. Shooting takes place in Los Angeles on Oct. 10–12 and the gig pays $250 a day. Apply here!
“WOMAN IN THE WINDOW”
The novel “Woman in the Window” is being turned into a feature film. The production is casting teens to play background roles. Casting is for male and female talent, aged 14 and older, to portray trick-or-treaters. Shooting takes place overnight and outside on Oct. 16 in New York City. “THE GREAT LEAP”American Conservatory Theater is casting a production of “The Great Leap.” The story is set in 1989 San Francisco, California in Chinatown and travels to Beijing, China. Many roles are open for adult talent, but the role of Manford is open to Asian male talent, aged 17. The character is a Chinese American high school student who is scrappy, intense, and “not tall.” Equity principal auditions will be held in New York City on Oct. 22 and 23. Rehearsals begin on Feb. 4, 2019 and the show runs from March 6–April 7 in San Francisco, California. Pay is $941 per week under the Equity Non-Rep LORT A Geary Theater Agreement. Apply here!
CRYPT TV
The Crypt TV brand is casting episodes 102 to 105 of a horror-based web series. The show features a backwoods tale full of cannibals and creatures set in the 1970s. Three roles are open for female talent, aged 15–20, to play Girl Scouts. Nancy is the brave one, Jen is the bossy leader that may have doomed their girl scout troop, and Angela is the peacekeeper. Shooting takes place in the Tri-State area from Oct. 24–29. Rehearsals start in NYC in mid-October. All roles are paid and non-union. Apply here!
“TREATMENTS”
“Treatments” is an educational video with information about cancer treatments for patients and families. The short video is currently casting a role for a young female or male actor, aged 5–15, to play a grandchild. Applicants will need to submit a video of themselves reading a provided script with medical terminology involving technical language about cancer. Shooting takes place in Baltimore, Maryland. The job pays $1,200 and the nonunion contract includes a buyout. Apply here!
