There are lots of great opportunities this week in New York and the Northeast. The Amazon series "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" needs background talent. Also, a social media ad for a men’s clothing brand is seeking a spokesperson, the HBO series “The Time Traveler’s Wife” is casting, and more!

The Emmy-winning Amazon series “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” is looking for background talent, aged 18 and older. The production wants 1960s types who can work around atmospheric smoke and don’t have wool allergies. Men must have no visible tattoos, must be clean-shaven, and must be comfortable getting a period haircut. Women must have no tattoos and must have hair above the shoulders, with no braids, weaves, wigs, fashion colors, or unnatural highlights. Shooting is through June in NYC. The HBO series “The Time Traveler’s Wife,” based on the novel of the same name, needs White male talent, aged 18–45. Talent will work as an acting double to perform opposite the principal and must have brown hair and meet a height requirement. Shooting is ongoing from May–September in NYC. The short film "Black Boots" is seeking talent for various roles. The 1980s-style thriller is about a young man who seeks answers about the death of his best friend and girlfriend. The production wants Black male talent, aged 18–25, to play the principal Roger, Black female talent, aged 46 or older, to play a grandmother, and more. Shooting is in NYC with dates TBD. The Brooklyn Cyclones, the minor league baseball team affiliated with the NY Mets, is looking for talent, aged 18–40, to play their mascot Sandy the Seagull. Talent will engage with children and fans, distribute branded apparel, and generate team spirit. Talent must be in good physical condition as the role requires standing and walking for long periods of time. Talent with previous mascot experience is preferred, as well as talent with tumbling or dancing skills.
