CASTING ALERT: Star in a Production of ‘Death and the Maiden’ + More Gigs in Texas

You can find lots of great audition opportunities in Texas this week. A production of the play “Death and the Maiden” is casting talent for leading roles, PSAs about airbag safety need talent to play area sales managers, and more!

A production of Ariel Dorfman’s “Death and the Maiden” is casting male and female talent for leading roles. The play follows a woman in an unnamed country who becomes convinced a stranger she meets is the man who tortured her during the fall of the old regime. The production wants female talent, aged 40, to play Paulina Salas and male talent, aged 50, to play Roberto Miranda, the man she accuses. Auditions are by appointment from April 12–14 in Houston, Texas with the production running from August 22–September 1 in Houston as well. Talent will be paid. Apply here!

The video “The Hero We Need” is seeking either black and multiracial male talent or white female talent for a nonspeaking role. Talent, aged 40–60, is wanted to portray a bank manager getting ready for work and greeting customers. Shooting will take place in Austin, Texas on April 20. Talent will be paid $800 for an 8–10-hour day. Apply here!

A series of online PSAs on airbag safety needs male talent for two roles. Talent will be playing an area sales manager of a car dealership. The production wants Latino/Hispanic talent, aged 35–60, with Spanish fluency for one role and Asian, Middle Eastern, multiracial, or white talent, aged 35–55, with English fluency for the other role. Shooting will take place in Plano, Texas for about 8 hours on April 23. Talent will be paid $500 per day plus meals. Payment includes full usage and license. Apply here!
