“WEST SIDE STORY” BROADWAY REVIVAL
The upcoming Broadway revival of “West Side Story” is searching nationwide for talent to play principal roles. The classic musical, featuring music by Leonard Bernstein and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, will be directed by Ivo van Hove (“The Crucible”) and choreographed by Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker (“Rosas danst Rosas”). The production is seeking Latina/Hispanic female talent, aged 18–22, with a classical soprano voice to play Maria and Latina/Hispanic female talent, aged 20–29, with strong dancing skills to play Anita. Rehearsals begin in October with performances starting in December for an opening on Feb. 6, 2020. Talent will be paid under the terms of an Equity Production Contract. Find out how to apply here!
FATHER’S DAY GROCERY STORE COMMERCIAL
A regional grocery store chain needs talent for three 30-second online ads promoting Father’s Day. The production is casting black male talent, aged 55 and older, to play an elderly dad, black female talent, aged 47 and older, to play an elderly mom, and more. Shooting will take place in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on April 22 for four hours. Speaking roles pay $500 while supporting roles pay $200. Apply here!
MOTHER’S DAY CAMPAIGN
An online themed campaign for Mother’s Day needs real-life moms with kids. The production is looking for moms, aged 30–50, with kids, aged 5–12. Families with twins are encouraged to apply. Shooting is scheduled on April 25. Talent will be paid $250. Apply here!
“CHINA ON THE INTERNET”
An HD 30 minute weekly video podcast covering topics on the Chinese internet is seeking male and female talent, aged 18–25, with English and Mandarin fluency. Talent does not necessarily have to be a native Chinese speaker. The podcast covers entertainment, celebrity gossip, trending stories, and other popular content such as sports. Shooting will take place in New York City from May–October. Talent must commit to at least 24 episodes for that period. Each episode takes 1–2 hours to film and pays $100 per episode. Apply here!
BUZZFEED: SOUL FOOD SHORT
A spot for BuzzFeed’s Cocoa Butter brand is seeking black female talent, aged 50–85, preferably from southern states such as Georgia and Texas. Talent will make soul food staples such as fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, potato salad, and banana pudding, and should be confident that theirs is the best. Shooting will take place in NYC on April 30. Talent will be paid $75 for the spot. Apply here!
“SHATTERED”
The ID Network series “Shattered” needs talent for principal and supporting roles. The production needs white male talent, aged 35–45, with a medium build, black male talent, aged 25–35, white female talent, aged 25–35, with a petite build, and more.
