CASTING ALERT: Join 2 Regional Equity Theater Seasons + More Acting Gigs

Start your week with booking a job! Two regional theaters are casting Equity talent for 2019 seasons. Plus, a choreographed dance show in Guam is casting male and female dancers nationwide and more gigs.

The Milwaukee Repertory Theatre is casting its 2019–2020 season. The season includes “Two Pianos, Four Hands,” “West Side Story,” “The Niceties,” “Nunsense,” “A Christmas Carol,” “The Legend of Georgia McBride,” “Chasin’ Dem Blues: Untold Story of Paramount Records,” “Hedwig and the Angry Inch,” “Eclipsed,” “Hootenanny: The Musicale,” and “Destiny of Desire.” An Equity Principal Audition is scheduled for Feb. 15 and 18 in Chicago, Illinois. The season rehearses and performs in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Talent will be paid under LORT Non-Rep A ($1,116 per week minimum), B ($941 per week minimum), and D ($696 per week minimum) contracts. The Saint Vincent Theatre is staffing its 2019 summer season. Productions include “Forever Plaid,” “Disney’s Beauty and the Beast,” and “Always...Patsy Cline.” An Equity Principal Audition is scheduled for March 7 in New York City. The season runs in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, with salary pending on an Equity LOA ref. to LORT Agreement. Apply here!

A production of “Easy Women Smoking Loose Cigarettes” is casting Equity talent. The roles of Marian, an overbearing Jewish mother, for female talent, aged 55–65, Lee, a lost soul, for female talent, aged 25–35, Kitty, a spunky young pregnant woman, for female talent, aged 18, Bobby, the boy next door, for male talent, aged 18, and Richard, a large and kind man, for male talent, aged 60–65, are available. An Equity Principal Audition is scheduled for Feb. 19. Rehearsals and performances run from Jan. 21–March 28, 2020 at the ARK Stage in Arlington, Virginia. A choreographed dance show, “Zubrick,” is seeking talent nationwide. The production is casting male talent, 5’10” or taller, and female talent, 5’8” or taller, aged 18–40, who are dynamic, sexy, and talented dancers. The show will run in Guam and feature magic, acrobats, tigers, and dance. Talent will be paid a competitive wage and be provided housing and round trip airfare. Apply here!

A fun, Japanese-style commercial for a restaurant and bar is casting. Male and female talent that can speak Japanese and is animated and engaging, aged 18 and older, is wanted. Shooting will take place either the week of Feb. 25 or March 4 in Louisville, Kentucky. Talent will be paid $350 per day, with a negotiable travel stipend. Apply here!
