As part of Backstage’s Audition Insider series, casting director Andrea Zee will host a free workshop on June 17 at 4 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT/9 p.m. UK. Zee will go in-depth on how to support and brand your child actor through their career. She will also be giving 1:1 feedback to Backstage members before answering questions from the audience live.
Zee has been involved in the casting for numerous Broadway, film, TV, and commercial projects, including the youth casting of numerous productions such as the national tours of "The King and I," "The Sound of Music," "Finding Neverland," "Elf: The Musical," and "Once."
Parents 18 years and older can apply here to receive advice for their child’s career from a casting professional.
The workshop will be live-streamed, so parents hoping to participate should be prepared to consent to be recorded and potentially have the recording shared on Backstage’s website and YouTube page.
