Atlanta-based Bill Marinella Casting is casting extras and musicians for "The June Carter Cash Story," a Lifetime original movie starring Jewel as the late country music legend and wife of Johnny Cash. The film is based on her son John Carter Cash's book "Anchored in Love: An Intimate Portrait of June Carter Cash." Shooting begins in June in Georgia, and the film is scheduled to premiere later this year.

Local actors will be cast as background in the film, which traces the singer's life from her childhood in Virginia through her rise to fame, and her relationship with the "Man in Black." Musicians are needed to play various members of June Carter Cash's backup bands.

"Many people know about the legendary love story of Johnny and June, but June Carter Cash has her own epic journey filled with triumphs, tragedies, loves and losses," Lifetime executive VP Rob Sharenow said when the project was announced in early May. "This movie will explore all aspects of the woman behind the icon, and we're thrilled Jewel will be playing the role."

The movie will span from the 1930s to Cash's death in 2003, and the casting director is specifically seeking talent with wardrobes from the '50s, '60s, and/or '70s. All applicants must be at least 21 years old. For more information and to register as an extra, view the full casting notices on (Subscription required.)

In addition, Marinella is seeking twins and triplets to portray boys of a variety of different ages, from infants, 3-year-olds, and 7-year-olds to teenagers.

Marinella is also currently casting extras for the Lifetime series "Drop Dead Diva." His previous casting credits include "American Reunion," "Contagion," the upcoming Billy Crystal comedy "Parental Guidance," and the Starz original series "Magic City."
