Singer/mover-friendly dance classes?
“I’m looking for recommendations on great dance classes for those of us who are vocally gifted but movement-challenged. Thanks in advance, all!” —FoscasMole227
Double invite to audition?
“Hello, fellow actors. I recently was invited to audition for a track on Broadway that I had auditioned for the cover of this past summer. The show quickly closed due to COVID-19 after I was invited to submit. I received a note from said audition’s casting directors saying that they would like to consider me for the tour instead. I submitted three sides, two songs, and a dance combo three weeks ago.
“Yesterday, I received another invite via Actors Access for the same role and show for the tour. They only wanted the first round material and from the looks of it, I did the first round and callback material for my last submission. There’s no contact info available for the casting director so I’m unsure if I should resubmit what I gave them, decline the audition since they already have my stuff, or what. Any advice would be appreciated. P.S. I do not have an agent.” —spotlightlover
Fi-core?
“Would love to get people's thoughts on fi-core. I am just getting back into the business after being away for a couple of years and I have an opportunity to sign with a very big voiceover agency. I have very little voiceover credits and they want me to go fi-core. I am a member of SAG-AFTRA and Actors Equity Association. I am seeking theatrical representation, as well. Will going Ffi-core really limit my chances of getting a theatrical agent? I've been hearing that it used to be a stigma when trying to secure theatrical representation and I am wondering if it actually or still is. Anyone know a person in this situation?” —Rickyroad
