“Dune: Part Two” is a hit with audiences. Starring Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, and Rebecca Ferguson, Denis Villeneuve’s sequel has crossed the $200 million worldwide box office mark since its March 1 release. To celebrate the film’s success, we’ve rounded up some of our favorite sci-fi projects casting now. Check them out below. 

“Hive Mind”

A nonunion scripted show about a dystopian future is casting for its upcoming shoot in Texas. Production is filling multiple roles, including a lead female actor, aged 35–45, to play Ambassador Laren, a supporting female actor, aged 28–50, to play Captain Kendall, and a supporting female actor, aged 18–25, to play Sondra Laren. All listed roles pay $100 per day for an estimated eight days of work.

“We Stellar Remnants”

A sci-fi short film is casting for its April 12–14 shoot in New York, as well as pickup dates in the weeks following. Production seeks a lead actor, aged 40–50, to play the on-screen role of Deacon and voiceover role of Gibraltar. The role pays $150 per day for an estimated four days of work.

“Re-Experience”

A sci-fi thriller short film is casting for its spring shoot in Union County, New Jersey. Production seeks a lead female actor, aged 25–35, to play Chloe, a supporting female actor, aged 20–30, to play Maya, and a day player male actor, aged 25–35, to play Bruce. All roles pay a flat rate of $150 for an estimated two days of work.

“Agency”

A sci-fi short film about a man in the middle of an AI arms race is casting for its upcoming shoot in Los Angeles. Production seeks a lead female actor, aged 45–70, to play Alicia James, a supporting male actor, aged 30–45, to play Taylor, and background/extra male actors, aged 30–50, to play Security Guards. The role of Alicia James pays $150 per day for an estimated single day of work. The role of Taylor pays $100 per day for an estimated single day of work. The roles of Security Guards pay $25 per day for an estimated single day of work.

“The Sound of Space”

A sci-fi student film about a woman on a journey to reach the stars is casting for its March 9–17 shoot in Arlington, Texas. Production seeks a lead female actor, aged 18–20, to play Aurora, a supporting male actor, aged 35–50, to play Neil, a supporting female actor, aged 25–35, to play Celeste, and a supporting female actor, aged 6–12, to play Young Aurora. All roles pay $100 per day for an estimated four days of work.
