Feeling blue? Blue Man Group is casting for various productions around the nation. Auditions are taking place in Atlanta, Georgia in June for the iconic blue, bald performer.
With strong roots in vaudeville, the avant garde, and Le Coq’s principles of playfulness, the unique performance combines theater, ritual, comedy, rock music, and dance party into a performance that has found audiences nationwide and around the world.
Although the name of the character is Blue Man, the casting call is for both male and female talent of all ethnicities, aged 18 and older. Candidates should have an athletic build, be between 5’10” and 6’2”, and have a great sense of rhythm. Drumming skills are an advantage, but not required. Excellent acting, improvisational, and physical theater skills are necessary.
Auditions by appointment will take place in Atlanta, Georgia on June 13. Performers must be willing to relocate. Training takes place in New York City. Casting is for productions in Las Vegas, Nevada, Boston, Massachusetts, Chicago, Illinois, and Orlando, Florida. Compensation is $1,000 a week.
