When the Emmy nominations were announced last week, there were the usual complaints about people who had been overlooked. Perhaps none were louder than the fans of Tatiana Maslany, who plays multiple roles on the series "Orphan Black." But Maslany might have the misfortune of being in a sci-fi/genre show, which have a long record of being crimminally overlooked. Sure, Gillian Anderson won an Emmy for "The X-Files" and Jennifer Garner scored four noms for "Alias." Even Leonard Nimoy got two nods for "Star Trek." But Emmy has a history of ignoring actors in sci-fi programming. We look at some of the most crimminally overlooked performers on sci-fi shows.
