Emmy-Winning Choreographer June Taylor Dies

June Taylor, an Emmy Award-winning choreographer on the television variety program "The Jackie Gleason Show," has died of natural causes in a Miami hospital, her family said on Tuesday.

She was 86.

"She had a beautiful, beautiful life," said Marilyn Gleason, Taylor's sister who married Jackie Gleason.

Gleason told Reuters a service would be held in North Miami on Wednesday afternoon.

The Miami Heart Institute said Taylor died at 12:30 a.m. EDT on Sunday.

Taylor started her career as a dancer and became famous through her choreography of the June Taylor Dancers on "The Jackie Gleason Show," which ran from the 1950s to 1970.

She received an Emmy in 1954 for television choreography, and from 1978 until 1990, she led the cheerleading squad of the Miami Dolphins football team.
