“Survival Of The Thickest”

Background casting continues for Season 2 of Netflix’s “Survival Of The Thickest,” starring Michelle Buteau. Talent, aged 18 and older, is wanted to portray flirty models, trendy artists/art collectors, and beautiful executives in background roles. Filming will take place on July 22–24 in Brooklyn, New York City. Pay is $176–$216.

“Etoile”

Background casting continues for the upcoming Prime Video series “Etoile,” a ballet drama from “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” creators Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino. Female talent with slim/slender body types, aged 18–25, are wanted to portray younger aspiring ballerinas. Filming will take place on July 23 in NYC. Pay is $176 for 10 hours of work.

“Battle 1943”

Schuetzle Company Productions is casting talent for “Battle 1943,” a feature period war film set during the opening days of 1943 as a bridge must be defended from a vast German onslaught of attackers. Production is seeking talent with firearms training, aged 18–44, to play Soviet and German soldiers in background roles. Light stunt work (falling from simulated death) will be needed. Filming will take place in Colorado and Minnesota. Pay is $150–$200 per day for up to six days of work.

“The Gilded Age” Season 3

Grant Wilfrey Casting is seeking Albany, New York-area talent for Season 3 of the acclaimed HBO period drama series “The Gilded Age.” Young Black actors, aged 8–15, are wanted for background roles at this time. There will be a fitting in July with the date TBD, followed by filming on Aug. 16 in the Albany/Troy, New York, area. Pay is $176–$216 for filming plus a fitting fee.

“Dean”

B.Y. Productions is seeking cast and crew for “Dean,” a feature biopic about James Dean. Actors, aged 8 and older, are wanted for various roles in the project, including background roles. Multiple roles will require partial nudity. Additionally, production is hiring multiple crew positions, including a head makeup designer, a director, and more. Talent will work between Oct. 14 and Jan. 17 in Los Angeles. Pay is $167 per day for all supporting actors and crew for up to 60 days of work. Background talent will receive $200–$500 per day. All talent will receive food, plus travel and housing if necessary.

“Richland Heights” Season 2

Richland Heights,” a faith-based scripted series from Kingdom Salvation Films, is seeking actors, aged 18 and older, for various roles for its second season, including background roles portraying cheerleaders, football players, teachers, and students. Work dates are TBD. Pay is $100–$500 for up to two days of work, with travel, meals, and out-of-state accommodations provided.

“Kingpin” (Series Pilot)

The BLMC Group is currently seeking talent for the pilot of “Kingpin,” a drama series about a street lieutenant who becomes the most significant kingpin in the U.S. after meeting the love of his life. Actors, aged 18 and older, are wanted for various on-camera and voiceover roles, including background roles playing bodyguards, clubgoers, and more. Talent will work in Miami, Florida, with dates TBD. Pay is $250–$1,100 per day for up to 21 days of work, with travel, meals, and lodging provided for out-of-area talent.

“Spider-Man: Fallout,” Fan Film

Casting is underway for “Spider-Man: Fallout,” a “Spider-Man” fan film set in a world where heroes are on the brink of peace and Miles Morales, a.k.a. Spider-Man, faces a slew of consequences when taking on Kindred, the city’s greatest nightmare. Georgia-based talent, aged 10–70, is wanted for various on-camera and voiceover roles, including background roles portraying pedestrians, protestors, police, and more. Stunt training will be required for specific background roles, including pilots, gunmen, and more. Additionally, production is hiring multiple crew positions, including a director, a makeup artist, and more. Talent will work in Fall 2024 in NYC, with rehearsals preceding three to six months prior. Pay is $50–$200 per week.
