From the upcoming Showtime “Dexter” sequel series to an A24 horror series, these are the best background casting calls looking for talent now. 

“Dexter: Resurrection,” Gala Attendees

Waldron Casting is seeking talent for “Dexter: Resurrection,” the upcoming Showtime “Dexter” sequel series starring Michael C. Hall and premiering in July. Tri-State area talent, aged 18 and older, is wanted to portray upscale gala attendees. Fittings will take place through May 23 in Yonkers, New York, followed by filming on June 2–4 in Manhattan, New York City. Pay is $181.50 for work days, plus a fitting fee and stipend for local transportation.

A24 Horror Series

Grant Wilfley Casting is searching for talent for an upcoming prequel horror series produced by A24. NYC and New Jersey-based talent, aged 8–39, is wanted for various background roles, including summer camp kids, counselors, and more. Production is also seeking a female model, age 18–30, to portray a Playboy cover model in a stills-only shoot, which will be held on June 18. For all other roles, there will be fittings on June 3, followed by filming on June 18 in Jersey City and June 20 and 23–25 in West Milford. (Talent will not be needed for all days.) Pay is $27–$28 per hour for background talent, and $500 for the cover model.

“72 Hours”

Grant Wilfley Casting is also seeking talent for “72 Hours,” a feature film for a major streamer. NYC and New Jersey-based talent, aged 18 and older, is wanted to play high-end club bouncers, attractive female party guests, and female club performers. Talent portraying performers must be comfortable with topless nudity and body paint. Relevant dance experience or training is encouraged. Talent will work between June 18 and 26 in New Jersey. The daily rate is $181.50 for bouncers, $216 for party guests, and $700 for performers.

“A Place in Hell”

A Place in Hell,” an upcoming legal thriller starring Michelle Williams and Daisy Edgar-Jones and directed by Chloe Domont (“Fair Play”), is seeking visibly pregnant women, aged 18 and older, for an OBGYN office scene. Talent will be paired up or may also work with a partner, either real or a friend. Talent will work on May 27 or 28 in Jersey City, New Jersey. Pay is $216.

Untitled Feature Film, Rush Casting

Hudson Valley Casting is currently seeking two female photo doubles, aged 18 and older, for an untitled feature film. Talent must meet all physical requirements, including height, hair color/style, and clothing size. Talent will work on May 28–July 1 in Dutchess County, New York. Pay is a minimum of $253 per day for an estimated 24 days of work.

“I Love Susu”

I Love Susu,” an upcoming indie comedy series, is searching for New York City-based union and nonunion talent, aged 18–70, for background roles. Filming dates are TBD. Pay is $188 per day.

U.K. casting agency NM Bollywood Castings is seeking Oxford-based talent, aged 18 and older to portray Stanstead Airport patrons and university students for “Bhooth,” a horror film for Telefilms. Talent will work during the first week of June. Pay is £114 for 10 hours of work.

Black Virginia-based talent, aged 18 and older, is wanted for various background roles in “Bad Man Brown,” a feature film. Filming will begin on May 17 through early June in the Fredericksburg-Stafford-Woodbridge area. Pay is $100-$500 for four hours of work.
