On this episode of In the Envelope: The Actor’s Podcast, Finn Wolfhard discusses the slasher-comedy “Hell of a Summer” (in theaters now), in which he not only stars, but also makes his feature-directing debut with co-writer-director Billy Bryk. Wolfhard also digs into how he’s feeling after “Stranger Things” wrapped its fifth and final season in December.
“I’m done with it, but also, in a weird way, I’m totally waiting for it, too,” the actor told us. “Because the show isn’t out, it doesn’t technically feel over. It’s kind of a limbo space. Day to day, if I’m thinking about ‘Stranger Things,’ it’s: When’s the next time I can see the cast? We’ve always been incredibly close, but especially this year, because it was the last, we got much more intimate in a chosen family sort of way.”
