Food Network Chef Robert Irvine attempts the impossible; a benefit shows the tactile beauty of art; and Austin is still in the running to be weird. It’s this week’s Texas Events Roundup.

Chef Robert Irvine Live
Food Network star Robert Irvine (“Restaurant Impossible”) is taking his brand of no-nonsense cooking on the road, but this time Irvine has no knowledge of the culinary challenges he is about to receive, and he’ll need your help to conquer them. No recipes. No script. No holds barred. You choose the challenges. He does the impossible. Hopefully! It all takes place Thursday, June 18, 2015, at 7:30 p.m. in San Antonio’s Tobin Center.

Art in the Dark
Held at the Do Seum Museum starting at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 18, Art in the Dark will celebrate the sense of touch in art. Guests will also be able to bid on the art while enjoying wonderful food and beverages from local restaurants and businesses. The San Antonio Lighthouse for the Blind Choir will provide entertainment. All proceeds will benefit the San Antonio Lighthouse for the Blind's children's programs.

Keep Austin Weird 5K
Anything is possible at this decade-old Austin extravaganza! Run, skip, or race through the streets of downtown Austin wearing the wackiest costume. Unofficially known as “the slowest 5K you will ever run,” this race is designed more for amusement than speed. The event takes place Saturday, June 27, and the countdown clock is on the site.
