Foreign actor from a non-English-speaking country moving to Hollywood?
“Is it possible for a foreign actor from a non-English-speaking country with experience acting in movies (in foreign language, obviously) to get sponsored by an agent or casting director in L.A. and become a Hollywood actor?” —jbravos
Racist/problematic theater call-outs?
“In light of the BLM movement, people have taken to Facebook and especially Instagram to share stories and accounts from troubling times at theaters they’ve worked at. I have found the following two accounts to be extremely eye opening and everyone should take a look:
@theatreisracist
@broadwayisracist_
“I’m glad people are speaking out. Time to hold theaters accountable and our workplace should be a safe environment.” —doglover92
Austin acting agencies?
“Hello all!
“I’ve been submitting to a lot of agencies in Austin and the surrounding area lately, and have heard back from a couple of them.
“Has anyone here heard of Bennett Connection or Boysen Talent? I think they’re both relatively new agencies, so I’m struggling to come up with information on them.
“I’m wondering if it would be better to try and build my reel and résumé up more on my own, then reapply to the more well-known agencies in the area, or take a chance on one of these.” —PetiteCourtney
