Fox has given a put pilot commitment to "Bait," a drama from feature writer Jake Wade Wall and producer Jerry Bruckheimer.
Meanwhile, ABC has picked up "Class 11," a Sept. 11-themed drama from another feature writer, Jeffrey Nachmanoff, with a script commitment and a hefty penalty attached to it.
"Bait," from Warner Bros. TV and Jerry Bruckheimer TV, revolves around a privately contracted group of undercover agents hired to entrap criminals.
Wall will pen the script and co-executive produce. Bruckheimer and Jonathan Littman are executive producing with KristieAnne Reed serving as consulting producer.
Wall's feature credits include the horror thrillers "When a Stranger Calls" and the upcoming "The Hitcher."
"Class 11," from 20th Century Fox TV and studio-based Roundtable Entertainment, is based on T.J. Waters' upcoming book "Class 11: Inside the CIA's First Post-9/11 Spy Class." It chronicles the lives of the students from the first recruitment class for the CIA after the Sept. 11 attacks -- the largest and most diverse class in the agency's history.
Nachmanoff ("The Day After Tomorrow") will pen the script and will executive produce with Roundtable's Gina Matthews and Grant Scharbo.
