Nineteen years after the original series signed off, “Frasier” is now returning to television. Kelsey Grammer is back as the eponymous psychiatrist, with the first season of the reboot premiering this Oct. 12 on Paramount+. If you’re a fan of “Frasier” and want to join a project similar to the hit comedy, apply to these gigs casting now. 

“The Break”

A romantic comedy short film is casting for its November shoot in Huntsville, Texas. Production is looking for a lead female actor, aged 19–25, to play Samantha, a supporting female actor, aged 18–30, to play Beth, and a supporting male actor, aged 19–28, to play Guy. All roles pay $50 per day for an estimated three days of work.

“Crooked”

A dark comedy short film is casting for its Oct. 14–16 shoot in Los Angeles. Production is filling multiple roles, including a lead male actor, aged 30–50, to play Omar, a lead male actor, aged 40–50, to play Lee, and a supporting male actor, aged 20–30, to play Carlos. All roles pay $100–$200 per day for an estimated two days of work.

“Partly Hazy”

A comedy-action short film is casting for its Nov. 15–19 shoot in Manhattan Beach, California. Production is looking for a lead male actor, aged 36–50, to play Guy Matthews, a supporting male actor, aged 45–60, to play Jerry Abrams, a supporting male actor, aged 35–60, to play Ming Le, and a supporting female actor, aged 18–28, to play Madi. Pay rates will be determined based on role and experience. Please note that the role of Jerry Abrams requires weightlifting skills, and the role of Madi requires running skills.

“Baby Bits”

A comedy student film is casting for its October shoot in Middletown, Connecticut. Production is looking for a lead all genders actor, aged 18–25, to play Betty and a lead all genders actor, aged 18–32, to play Jamie. Both roles pay $100 per day for an estimated four days of work. Please note that the talent will be performing in intimate scenes, and an intimacy coordinator will be on set.

A short film about a woman’s inability to ever be on time is casting for its Oct. 13–16 shoot in New York. Production is looking for a lead female actor, aged 30–60, to play Susan. The role pays a flat rate of $125 for an estimated six hours of work.
