Banish the January blues by entering the wonderful world of February! New writing, a fab venue, and the queen of “Ab Fab” herself await you in this week’s recommendations to make the most out of your London experience.

Have a laugh with Jennifer Saunders.
This week’s book-now-or-regret-later comes via the Tristan Bates Theatre where they’re hosting an actors Q&A with Jennifer Saunders and her “Lady Windermere’s Fan” co-star Samantha Spiro on March 2. Get to it! (Tickets: £25)

Be the first to know about new talent.
Why not get yourself down to the Southwark Playhouse for 2018’s first show from production company ‘Little Pieces of Gold’. They’ll be showing eight new short plays picked from an open submission, usually a hotbed of new talent. (Tickets: £12)

Get networking at the National.
You’ll be ‘mad as hell’ if you miss Michelle Dockery and co-star Douglas Henshall chatting about their roles in the National’s hit production of ‘Network’. Keep Feb. 2 free. (Tickets: £7)

Visit the revamped Hayward.
Reopening this month after two years of refurbishment is Southbank icon, the Hayward Gallery. Visit to find out what they’ve done with the place and see the debut exhibition by photographer Andreas Gursky. (Tickets: £16)

Make magic with monologues.
Why not give that top monologue you’ve been practising a public outing at auditions for this year’s nationwide Monologue Slam? On Feb. 3 at the Theatre Royal Stratford East, they’ll be choosing who goes on to the final in March.
