Amazon is casting background actors for its 1950s-set series “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.” We also have four more on-camera gigs of all sorts you can’t miss in this week’s roundup!

AMAZON’S “THE MARVELOUS MRS. MAISEL”
Amazon’s upcoming series, “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,” is casting background actors for a shoot in New York City. Seeking male and female talent to depict both 1950s deli patrons and 1950s “starlets,” production is set for July 27. Pay will be $154/12 hours.

“BURRO”
Short film “Burro,” billed as a “gritty drama about a father and son trapped in a drug trafficking operation,” is casting for both those leading roles, as well as three supporting parts. Shooting is slated to begin in late October in Las Vegas, Nevada. Pay will be $125/day.

“OPEN HOUSE”
Actors are needed for lead and supporting roles in “Open House,” a short following “a paranoid, emasculated high school custodian who takes desperate measures to protect his job from a poor South Sudanese student.” The project will shoot in September in New York City, and will pay $125/day in addition to meals and travel accommodations.

“HIGH LIFE”
A male and female actor are needed for two supporting roles in “High Life.” The short, which will begin shooting this week in the New York City area, will pay $100/day in addition to provided food and transportation.

“A MOTHER’S JOURNEY”
“A Mother’s Journey,” a promotional video for a nonprofit school, is casting a female actor aged 28–45 for the title role. The spot will shoot at a to-be-determined date in Chatham, New Jersey, and will pay the hired actor $500.
