Get a Step Closer to ‘Game of Thrones’ in One of These 4 Fantasy Projects

Drive a stake into the heart of an orc, rescue a family from a burning castle, or see what’s on the other end of a witch’s brew–stories with fantastical elements have a long history and large fan base that has sustained Hollywood for decades, from “The Twilight Zone” to “Lord of the Rings” and “Game of Thrones.” Visit another world and add a new genre to your resume with one of these projects currently seeking their fantasy casts.

“DANNY ORCSLAYER”
Casting is now underway for a new student short film about an imaginative, bullied boy who finds shelter in the roleplaying world of Dungeons and Dragons. Young male and female talent, aged 10–14, located in and around Dallas, Texas, is sought to play various roles, including the lead, Danny. Two adult actors, aged 35–50, are also wanted to play offscreen parents. Rehearsals will take place from July 6–8 at KD Studios, and the shoot is planned for July 9–11 in Dallas, Texas. “THE MONKEY PRINCE AND THE FLOWER MAIDEN”
Join this fantasy student thesis short film inspired by “Final Fantasy” and the legend of the Monkey King. Female Asian talent, aged 17–19, is wanted to portray the Flower Maiden, and talent, aged 30–45, is wanted to play the villain, Lilith. A male actor, aged 21–26, is also sought. Rehearsal and shoot dates are currently TBD in Los Angeles. There will be no compensation. Apply here!

“BOOK OF SKIN”
The myth of Pygmalion is reimagined in this new short film project. The short is seeking to cast performers with the ability to draw, as they will be creating life-drawings on set that will be used in the final edit. Interested talent must have strong skills with charcoal and graphite. The project shoots in August in San Diego, California. Apply here!

“ELVEN FANTASY”
Male models, aged 18 and older, with performing ability are currently being sought to play elves and dwarves for a fantasy photo shoot. The final product will be the title treatment for a gay romance novella and marketing with short film clips. Martial arts experience is preferred but not required. The shoot will be one day in July in Los Angeles, and one fitting day prior to that. Compensation is provided. Apply here!
