The year is moving quickly as we make our way into March! How have your goals been progressing so far? If you’re looking for inspiration, Company Wayne McGregor is in town from the U.K. This dynamic company is one that will have you itching to dance in no time. In need of some artistic discussion on the choreographic process? Check out the open performance coming up at the Center for Performance Research.

This week, the Joyce presents Company Wayne McGregor (Feb. 27–Mar. 3) as the resident choreographer of The Royal Ballet brings his hip contemporary company back to New York with a new work, “Autobiography.” (Tickets start at $10)

The Center for Performance Research will be holding their monthly Studio Open House on Feb. 27. This works-in-progress showcase will feature works by Oxana Chi, Rina Espiritu, and Johnnie Mercer. A discussion with the artists will follow the performance. ($5 suggested donation)

Holland America Line and Hersheypark Summer Shows are seeking dancers and dancers who sing for cruise ship performances and residency work this summer at Hersheypark. The open casting call will take place on Feb. 26 at Pearl Studios with callbacks on Feb. 27.

Boy Friday, a New York-based contemporary dance company, is seeking dancers to join the company for fall performances. If interested, please submit your materials no later than Mar. 5.

Zullo/RawMovement seeks new company members for spring, fall, and winter performances. Dancers must have a strong technical ability, improvisational skills, and partnering experience. Please submit your materials for consideration.

Deadline approaching! LEMI Collective is currently seeking submissions for A Space For Thought, a shared evening of dance exploring movement’s relationship to literature and philosophy. Please submit your materials by Feb. 28.

Are you a Queens-based choreographer? Now is your chance to present your work in your home borough at the 5th Annual Dance Astoria Festival! All dance styles are encouraged. There is no fee to apply. Please submit your application by April 15.

RawMovement Queerly Contemporary Festival is looking for dance makers to investigate and celebrate the diversity of the LGBTQplus community. Repertory works of all forms are welcome. Application closes Mar. 23.
