With a Ph.D. in art history, the German-born Norbert shoots mainly adult actors in three-quarter poses, using natural light on location in the East Bay. Former actor Karil Daniels has been a photographer for more than 20 years. Based in San Francisco, she shoots only on location and looks for economical shortcuts--for example, an hour's shoot of one roll could be as low as $100 if the client takes the roll to the lab himself and has his own proof sheet made.
