David Ochoa is a bi-coastal headshot photographer who recently got the urge to pay it forward. He teamed up with Justice Speaks, a charitable organization that builds homes in Thailand for victims of sex trafficking, and “8 Days,” a film inspired by an actual victim of sex trafficking, for a fundraising event.
During the two-day event, actors can get a discount on headshots and the proceeds will go to help the charity and distribute the film. “It hasn’t yet hit the masses,” says Ochoa of "8 Days."
“The more funds we can raise, the more funds we can give to the non-profits,” he says. “It’s all about the pay it forward.”
Headshot packages that usually go for $450 are being offered at $125, while $600 two-look packages are going for $165. The event is being held Feb. 8 and Feb. 11. “Part of this is bringing awareness to this sex trafficking cause," he says. More details are available here.
