DRIVEN: Sylvester Stallone and Renny Harlin, star and director of "Cliffhanger," reteam for life in the fast lane with this race-car adventure.

THE FORSAKEN: A motorist is drawn into a horror nightmare when he picks up a hitchhiker who turns out to be a vampire hunter.

THE GOLDEN BOWL: Merchant-Ivory adaptation of Henry James' novel about hidden passions involving a billionaire and his daughter (Nick Nolte, Kate Beckinsale) and their spouses (Uma Thurman, Jeremy Northam).

THE KING IS ALIVE: Jennifer Jason Leigh and Janet McTeer in a story of tourists stranded in the African desert who stage "King Lear" to pass the time.

ONE NIGHT AT MCCOOL'S: This black comedy stars Liv Tyler as an opportunistic vixen preying on Matt Dillon, Paul Reiser and John Goodman.

RAT: A Dubliner comes home from the pub one night and causes havoc for his family when he turns into a white rodent. Pete Postlethwaite stars.

THE LONG RUN: A young woman enters a grueling South African marathon under the tutelage of a demanding coach (Armin Mueller-Stahl).

THE MAN WHO CRIED: A Jewish singer (Christina Ricci) must choose between love or life as World War II breaks out. Johnny Depp, Cate Blanchett and John Turturro co-star.

MOULIN ROUGE: Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor star in Baz Luhrmann's musical set in a garish Paris nightclub in 1900.

THE MUMMY RETURNS: Imhotep and the gang are back, doing battle with the evil Scorpion King. Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz star.

OUR SONG: Inner-city teen drama centers on three friends in a school marching band who pass the time flirting, shoplifting and daydreaming.

PEARL HARBOR: Jerry Bruckheimer and Michael Bay deliver a mega-budgeted epic on the Japanese sneak attack. The cast includes Ben Affleck and Kate Beckinsale.

SHREK: A loner ogre's swamp is overrun by fairy-tale creatures in this animated comedy featuring the voices of Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz and Eddie Murphy.

STARTUP.COM: Timely documentary that chronicles the rise and fall of an Internet company and its two young founders.

TIME AND TIDE: Hong Kong action thriller about a bodyguard whose friendship with a mercenary ends when they wind up on opposite sides of a fight.

THE TRUMPET OF THE SWAN: Animated musical based on E.B. White's tale features the voices of Jason Alexander, Mary Steenburgen and Reese Witherspoon.

THE ANIMAL: An animal-organ transplant turns a file clerk (Rob Schneider) into a supercop _ but leaves him battling new basic instincts.

ATLANTIS: THE LOST EMPIRE: Disney's animated epic features a ragtag band of explorers burrowing for the lost city. Michael J. Fox heads the voice cast.

BABY BOY: John Singleton ("Boyz N the Hood") revisits inner-city Los Angeles with this street tale of a misguided young man (Tyrese Gibson).

BETTER THAN SEX: A one-night stand turns into two nights, then three, and thoughts of love for a photographer and dressmaker in Australia.

BIG EDEN: A bizarre homosexual love triangle forms when an artist returns to his Montana hometown. Arye Gross and Louise Fletcher co-star.

BRIDE OF THE WIND: Director Bruce Beresford spins the tale of a Vienna composer (Sarah Wynter) whose paramours include Gustav Mahler (Jonathan Pryce).

CINEMA PARADISO: The beloved Italian romance chronicling a man's lifelong passion for film is reissued in a new director's cut by Giuseppe Tornatore.

AMERICA'S SWEETHEARTS: Julia Roberts is personal assistant to a superstar (Catherine Zeta-Jones) in a romantic comedy co-starring John Cusack and Billy Crystal.

BULLY: Larry Clark ("Kids") directs a dramatic recreation of a South Florida murder and its aftermath.

CATS & DOGS: A housecat leads a high-tech feline war against the world's canines in this live-action and animated comedy.

CRAZY/BEAUTIFUL: Kirsten Dunst is a congressman's daughter who defiantly becomes involved with a Hispanic honors student (Jay Hernandez).

FINAL FANTASY: THE SPIRITS WITHIN: The video-game comes alive with semi-realistic human characters created by computer animation. Featuring the voices of Alec Baldwin, Steve Buscemi, Peri Gilpin and Ving Rhames.

GREENFINGERS: Clive Owen ("Croupier") stars in a story of British prison inmates who become world-class gardeners. Helen Mirren co-stars.

HIGHER ED: Fugees singer Pras stars in a comedy about an inner-city athlete's misadventures when he earns a college track scholarship.

ITALIAN FOR BEGINNERS: A romance about Copenhagen lonelyhearts, shot under minimalist Dogma '95 filmmaking precepts.

JURASSIC PARK 3: Soup's on again for T-Rex and other prehistoric reptiles when Sam Neill, William H. Macy and Tea Leoni get trapped on dinosuar island.
