How to get an agent/manager?
“Hi all,
“I hope this post finds you well and in good spirits. If you could please answer a few of my questions I have about getting started, I’d be eternally grateful.
“I am wanting to break into the acting business. I have several extra credits on shows that are filmed near me. I have taken acting classes before as well. I am planning on relocating to the L.A./Burbank area in a few weeks and I have a job lined up working at one of the studios—nothing fancy or a high position, though (at all).
“Point is, I would like to know if anyone here knew how to get an agent or manager? I know it’s a lot about connections but what confuses me is that everyone is someone at one point and still gets signed to an agency. For example, just tonight, Lili Reinheart (the star of ’Riverdale’ and several big movies) posted that she moved to L.A. at 19, no money or a job, and a few weeks later she booked the lead role of ’Riverdale.’ So, how did she get to the point in that amount of time to get an agent and get an audition?
“It seems really hard to get an agent, but I’ve seen several actors and actresses who are lead roles on shows that got their lead or recurring role as their very first job shortly after they moved to an area. I know some of it is taking classes taught by agents, etc., but like I said, Lili shared her full story: She moved to LA, had no job/money, and weeks later booked a job.
“If anyone could give me some advice I would be eternally grateful! Thank you so much!” —AspiringActor2020

LLC or corporation for actors?
“Is there any actor here getting paid as an LLC or corporation? Which one should I choose and why? Is there any advantage? Is it a problem to get paid, etc.?
