Christian and Ricardo Riveron, a duo of acting twins, just landed a role in the commercial “Lennar’s New Home,” in which they played “two brothers feeling the love and joy from family and friends on our birthday.” The two recall the project as being a ton of fun and a great way to meet people; however, they do have one grievance looking back.
“We just wish our presents would have been real!” they joke.
The identical twins, who are based in Miami, booked the gig through Backstage, which they just signed up for in June. They have already found its articles and casting notices tremendously helpful. “We get a lot of notifications for castings sent to our email,” they explain. “There are a lot of auditions for our age group and it’s so easy to submit—and [it’s] fun. We like it!”
Though the acting landscape in Florida isn’t as saturated as the major markets up North and out West, the two have been able to find work by being resourceful and diligent (in addition to help from a fantastic team—and Backstage). “We have great agencies and great casting directors,” they say. “It’s not a huge market, but there are acting jobs, and with Backstage, we can submit all across the country.”
