Is my agent sending me out on enough auditions?
“I’m 17, I live in Philly, and I’ve been with my agent for a year now. In that time, I’ve only been sent three auditions. She tells me that things are just ‘quiet’ and there’s not a lot for my age. What should I do? I feel like I’m not going out as much as I should be. How do I find more on my own? Should I try looking for auditions in NYC?” —thespian3000
Similar brand clients on a roster?
“Is it acceptable for an agent to have two people on their roster (same age range, ethnicity, brand, etc.) going out for the same roles? Any thoughts would be much appreciated. TY.” —RoseLo
Self-taped auditions?
“Hey everyone! I have started a conversation on this subject before and touched on several topics about self-taped auditions. However, there is one question that has been revolving its mysterious aura around in my headspace for some time now: Should I, or can I, edit my self-taped auditions? Clearly, it takes away from the essence and fluidity of an audition but for the sake of presenting a great audition, is it acceptable? Now of course, there may be a wardrobe, maybe even a prop (if the scene calls for it), but never anything overly dramatic. Just a snip here and a snip there in order to submit a performance that I can feel comfortable with?” —StewartMarshall
