“Vacation Friends”
It’s normal to befriend people on vacation, even people you might never get to know in your regular life, but once the trip is over, you probably expect you won’t see those friends again. However, when one straight-laced couple returns from their Mexican holiday, they find the rambunctious couple they met on vacation has turned up at their doorstep looking to reignite the party spirit. As the visiting couple outstays their welcome, it’s up to the homeowners to take drastic measures to reclaim their lives (and their home). McCarthy/Abellera are still casting the film that will star John Cena, Meredith Hagner, and Lil Rel Howery. Production is set to begin in March 2020 and continue into the spring in Atlanta and Puerto Rico.

“Killers of the Flower Moon”
Martin Scorsese is teaming up with Leonardo DiCaprio once again in his next film “Killers of the Flower Moon.” Based on the nonfiction book by journalist David Grann, the project will recount the story of a plot of oil-rich land in Oklahoma in the 1920s that was granted to the Osage Native Americans. Once the Osage people are deemed the rightful recipients of the large oil profits from the land, those closest to the bounty begin to be mysteriously murdered. The newly established Federal Bureau of Investigation begins to investigate the politics, money, and dirty environment within the oil companies that surround the suspicious killings. Joining DiCaprio on the film is fellow Scorsese repeat collaborator Robert De Niro. Additional cast will be assembled by the director’s go-to, Ellen Lewis Casting. Production is set to begin in March 2020 in Oklahoma, where the story is set.

“Artemis”
Small-town living can be rough, even when it’s thousands of miles from Earth. Based on the novel by Andy Weir (author of “The Martian”), “Artemis” follows a 20-something woman who’s finding her existence on the moon to be less exhilarating than most would believe. With only one colony on the astronomical body, there’s not much in the way of adventure-seeking. So, feeling the itch for something more, she decides to take on a different kind of criminal job. The project, cast by McCarthy/Abellera, has yet to attach any actors. The film is still in the early days of development, so production dates and locations are unknown for now.
