Don’t be late for this very important date: May 24! Backstage is proud to be partnering with Walt Disney Pictures for a special advance screening of the anticipated “Alice in Wonderland” sequel, “Alice Through the Looking Glass,” from director James Bobin and producer Tim Burton.
Revisiting author Lewis Carroll’s beloved Wonderland, “Alice Through the Looking Glass” reunites stars Mia Wasikowska and Johnny Depp for an all-new and unforgettable adventure. This go-round, Alice (Wasikowska) must travel back in time to save the Mad Hatter (Depp), who’s behaving even madder than usual. Based on Carroll’s novel, “Through the Looking Glass,” “Alice Through the Looking Glass” is ultimately a meditation on the passage of time and the string of events that build a complete life. Co-starring Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter, and the voice talents of Stephen Fry, Michael Sheen, Timothy Spall, and the late Alan Rickman, the May 27 release is sure to be a rollicking time for the whole family.
The film will hit AMC Loews Kips Bay with a free screening on May 24 at 7 p.m., three days before its wide release later that week! Be sure to RSVP for free here, but do note that an RSVP does not guarantee entry, as guests will be seated first come, first serve. Get there early and have fun falling down the rabbit hole once again!
