The new feature film “The Last Thing He Wanted” is currently casting background actors. Academy Award–nominated Dee Rees (“Mudbound”) is directing, producing, and writing.
Anne Hathaway, Willem Dafoe, and Ben Affleck will star in the feature based on a novel of the same name by Joan Didion. The story follows Elena McMahon, who quits her newspaper job covering the 1984 presidential election to care for her dying father. She then becomes an arms dealer for a covert government agency.
The production is seeking talent, aged 18 and older, to portray background characters.
Filming will take place in August in Miami, Florida. Compensation is $125 per day.
