Play the younger version of the lead Helena in “The Marsh King’s Daughter,” a feature thriller based on the book by Karen Dionne.

“The Marsh King’s Daughter” will follow Helena (played by Alicia Vikander), a mother of two young daughters who suspects their lives are in danger after a notorious child abductor escapes from a maximum security prison. To survive and protect her daughters, Helena must face her past: a child born into captivity and raised to kill.

A young female actor, aged 9–13, is wanted to play the 12-year-old Helena, a fit, feral, heavily-tattooed young girl who has been raised in the woods with her parents, completely isolated from civilization.

“The Marsh King’s Daughter” shoots from late July through October or November, location to be determined. Talent will be paid under a SAG-AFTRA contract.
