A short student film is currently casting young talent for lead roles in New York City.

“Rotten Egg” will follow 15-year-old Reese, who, while reluctantly preparing to move across the country, discovers that a star in the faraway Calabash Nebula is dying. Inspired, she sets out to give the star the send-off it deserves.

A young female actor, aged 14–17, is wanted to play the lead role of Reese, a dramatic but sincere teenage girl. There is also a secondary lead role for a female actor of the same age to play Hayley, Reese’s best friend.

Additionally, there is a supporting role available for a young male actor.

Rehearsals will begin in mid to late-March, and the film will shoot April 7–8 in NYC. Meals, transportation during production, and a copy of the film will be provided.
